The Surrealists had automatic writing, Burroughs had cut-ups, your last roommate had Magnetic Poetry™, but at Spaceship No Future, we have The Typing of the Dead. It’s my new favorite game; it’s so freaking fun even Tamara likes it. I’d ask her for a pithy quote, but I think she’s mad at me because I spent all night trying to burn a Dreamcast Super Nintendo emulator to a CD-R. So a mere three weeks after plonking down $150 for a new Dreamcast plus $25 for a VMU plus $50 for a game, I start hearing rumors that Sega plans to stop manufacturing the #@!$#!!1 thing. it’s movies week at spaceship no future. we saw crouching tiger, hidden dragon and oh brother, where art thou?. both movies were amazing, funny, and had cracking soundtracks. next up is antitrust which is going to be laughably bad. speaking of laughter, it seems many american viewers of crouching tiger, hidden dragon are having trouble swallowing the idea that wudan fighters, some of whom are principal characters in CTHD, can run up the sides of buildings and fly through the air. even my dad snickered a little. movie geek…
